The main reason I am disagreeing is that the feedback comimg back from users is that they would prefer the full numeric value to be in focus when they click on the control. This probaly rates in the top 3 annoyances from our users .... I suppose this means that our users think differently than the Windows Standard so maybe its time to change the windows standard ???

>Disagree or not, it should work as your users expect, not you. Being that the way you want it to work is contrary to Windows guidelines and works differently than other programs, your users may not be happy with it.

In most cases, if you are ameding a number, I think it is actually faster to just land on the box and type in the whole number, otherwise you need to 1) ensure that you click in exactly the correct postition and 2)you will be entering just part of the number , when I think the natural inclination is to enter the whole number which is probably on a docket
