I'm afraid that I don't have a ready answer for that. It's probably a slow way to go, but maybe you could create a RTF box, and cell by cell, set the value of the box to the text in the cell and then do a replace from the rtf box into your memo field. Sounds like a long running piece of code, but I just don't know an easy way to do it if your attempt with the binary memo field didn't work.
