Maybe. I've had some nightmares trying to get some serial devices 9mostly medical data capture equipment) to work with USB adapters. Some only work with certain make/models of USB adapters. Some just don't seem to work through adapters at all.

It's worth a try. If it works using an adapter, then don't argue with success!
