SPT here too - and yes, I like to throw as much of record processing to be done serverside, whenever that's simpler, faster, cheaper (in terms of wire melt :). In rare cases, I may just pull a couple of raw cursors from the server and finish them off VFP side, because the TSQL language may be short on some features I need, and VFP has them.

As usual, the universal answer is "it depends" :).
