>Is the program running from the local workstation and accessing the data on a networked drive, or are you running everything from the networked drive? If you are running from the network, move the application to the local hard drive and set your temp files to the local disk as well.

Program and data both reside on external HD, and the program is being run from there as well. Will try your suggestion.

Also, user just called - a table has been corrupted... Is this also a symptom of this setup? i.e. will it go away, if I move the exe and temp files locally? or is there something else at work here?
