What you meant with "the way"? VFP can open the tables two ways EXCLUSIVE or SHARED?
If you want tables to be opened EXCLUSIVE go to Data tab in Tools->Options and check "Open exclusive" then click on Set as default. If you want to be opened SHARED do the opposite :-)
