I liked the one of the old Buick last week, and the treatment that your acquaintance did was special. We sometimes see collections of classic motors like these in Brighton, and I know I've been close up to such a Buick (didn't have the camera on me at the time).

You'd be in your element. The pic of the old steam vehicle, with the funnel, I was right there and chatting to the ownner. His face was black as the hobs of hell, covered in soot, and the vehile carried bags of coal in back - essentially an old steam loco for road use - ridiculous
