>In France last year I tried to be green, and bought a bag of BBQ maize husks as fuel. What a waste of time: they only Burned for like 15 minutes then were just dust.
One of my customers back home fueled his central heating with some bricks made from corn stalks and husks, walnut shells, sunflower shells and whatnot. Someone was manufacturing those and turning quite a profit, and this guy's house (and not a small one) was quite warm. And he said this fuel was relatively cheap.
