When I was a recent immigrant here and I receive a similar e-mail, I innocently contacted the RCMP, which by the way have information about this and other scams and ask you to contact them if you receive any, but they told me that they could not do anything about it, for the e-mail where I got it was not Canadian (it was my yahoo.com account)
