We use InstallShield 2.02 - if you look at MOST software, that is the one they are using. One thing I haven't figured out. I can put a single icon on the desktop and a program group, but I have two .exe files I ship and haven't figured out how to add both .exe's to the program group. I also can't get the desktop icon to launch a vfp file maximized, so it opens a window, flickers then maximizes. I'd rather this did it automatically. Using ActiveX and finding all the files necessary for shipment can be tricky. You do not get much VFP help with it. You have to do it on your own. Pretty powerful though. I've got separate installation configurations that put files in particular locations based on the operating system. You also have placeholders: ie: INSTALLDIR, SYSDIR (there are a lot of them) and others that will place your files in the correct locations. I don't know about WISE. I believe it to be the industry standard. InstallShield is everywhere!

>>The setup wizard shipped with VFP50 isn't meeting our needs (specifically, it isn't creating the program group on the start/programs menu and doesn't have an option to create a shortcut on the desktop). Looking at PC-Install and InstallShield. Any suggestions/feedback? Thank you!

>The Wise product is very easy to setup and create a single .exe install package with support for Start menu installation and full uninstall etc. and it knows all about VFP. You'll have a setup running in minutes! They've also got a *free* fully functional demo. (www.wisesolutions.com)
