Other than OLE automation to excel you could try breaking up the cross tab cursor and using each smaller table. Have a look at the field() and fcount() functions...in a loop you could break up the table fairly easily - using the first "column" in each new table of course. Might take a bit of juggling some temporary tables or cursors, but seems doable.
