It acts like it is trying to do a tableupdate or something but I don't have anything in my destroy event or any other event that would fire when the form closes. I assume there must be a property somewhere that tells the data environment to update the parent tables upon closing!? Can anyone tell me where this property is if that is what is happening!?

Not unless you are using some 3rd party framework, there is no such thing as built-in EVENT property in VFP that tells DE to update buffered tables. I think you should speficy the actual error being displayed.
