You mean "Football" fans? But what game WAS that!? There were all these lines across the pitch (presumably it doubles as a gridiron field) and, at one point, the ball went completely out of touch but there was no throw-in.

BTW my daughters' ballet teacher was a S African (she was totally "away with the fairies" BTW) and she's refer to the ball as a "soccer ball". Well, as "soccer" is a contraction and corruption of the expression "associated football" so she in effect was saying "associated football ball".
