I don't think you realize the true nature of client/server. VFP is not a client/server such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, etc. VFP is used as a development tool to provide FRONT-END access to a back-end client/server system. These systems do have the capability of supporting tables at different locations to be queried simultaneously but are NOT in standard .dbf file formats.
I think others here on the UT might give more information to help guide you in a better direction, but what you are trying might not really be feasible.
