>I like most of your message. But how's that Muslim assimilation going?

Due to the elections there is a small shift now. The team of ministers is now from another coalition of political parties (3 parties). And there are two ministers who are muslim! That is new for us.

We also have a new political party (PVV) that got quite many votes (9 out of 150 seats in parliament). Their leader Geert Wilders (who also gets protection since a couple of years, just like Ayaan Hirsi Ali got) has raised an issue: He is of opinion that these two ministers are unacceptible because they have two nationalities. One of them is also Moroccan, the other one also Turkish. And both will occasionally have to deal with those countries as a consequence of their position as minister.

Many other politicians have bashed Wilders, accusing him of discrimination and muslim xenophobia. However, a proportional part of the population agrees with him. Would there be elections tomorrow, his party would get ... 15 seats. That's 10 percent! It are other stances of his party that prevent he'd get even more votes. Is he right wing? Sure. Is he extreme right wing? Not so sure, although that's what many left wingers want you to believe. Is he dangerous, like Hitler was? Not at all. He is a liberal (you'd say conservative, I presume), a secularist, a logical thinker, not a shouter.

His arguments appeared to be more solid proof than his political opponents assumed. Their initial answer (bashing and some poorly formulated arguments) have not convinced the people. I think they are now in the process of collecting better arguments. One thing they have discovered is that Arnold Schwarzenegger is US citizen AND still Austrian, and nevertheless he is a governer.
