There is a problem. See www.vss-inc.com/slowstart.html - they may have a *free* fix for you!
You may also get a misleading "Insufficient Memory" running Filer.
Problem is essentially 16 apps running on fast Pentiums. There is also a knowledgebase article about it - which someone else might have a reference to which says, (quite unhelpfully)
* upgrade to VFP
* turn off the CPU cache
* get a slower computer (ROFL)
Also avoid running big array based lists with the bound variable set to character type.
