>I wrote something similar several years ago. One issue is throttling cpu usage. If you don't put a timer on this, and you are doing the emails asynchronously, it'll bring your cpu to a crawl. One thing I do now is use a list server. I have a Communigate Email server and I create a list of email addresses and then send one email to the list. It is then distributed to the entire list, which could be thousands.
This is an inhouse app and my users are currently using a listserver to do these mailings. But this requires that they maintain the email addresses in 2 places. In my VFP APP, and in the listserver software. This is what I am trying to save by doing the mailing directly out of my App. Unfortunately my SYS ADMIN tells me that there is no way to send the recipient list to the listserv from outside. Does your server support that?
