Hi Dave,

>Do you use Mere Mortals .NET?

No. I tried it but it wasn't for me.

>I notice you are a Codemine Framework user.
>Did you use the Mere Mortals VFP Framework?

No. I tried it but it wasn't for me.

>Whenever I get a LAN file server based project I use Codemine ; I think Codemine is great.

Codemine is a really terrific framework. Same issues as with Mere Mortals though - Dave Lehr works on his own and as such, there are only so many hours in a day although, the support from Dave was (and I suspect still is) brilliant. Unfortunately, I haven't used VFP/Codemine for quite some time now - it was all usurped by C#/.NET and the need to keep earning :)

>Its too bad there isnt a shareware version of Mere Mortals .NET as there is with
>West Wind Web Connection.

Not really :) There are plenty of great .NET framework offerings out there, some of which are really good and cost nothing. Try this - http://www.ideablade.com/downloads.html - it is totally free and in my view, FWIW, it's one of the better .NET frameworks. You could look at StrataFrame too but they don't do a "free" version.

You could always ask a certain Mr. Goff when/where his CommonGround framework can be downloaded - he has been promising it for a while and I suspect that will be pretty good too :)

HTH
