I recommend checking in the Global Assembly Cache to make sure the MM .NET assemblies are still there (C:\Windows or C:\WINNT). Installing the service pack shouldn't disrupt the GAC, but it's a good place to start. If all else fails, you may want to uninstall MM .NET and reinstall it.
