That is why Andy and I always use a "safe select" - this is not an issue then.

In VFP 9, it is even easier - because of the enhanced SQL SELECT syntax, you can just INSERT INTO ... SELECT ... FROM instead of having to SELECT into an intermediate cursor and append from that.
