Hi John,
If you look at a VCX, using the "Bring to Front" or "Send to Back" options creates an entry in the Properties memo field for the effected control, ZOrderSet={Level}. In addition it changes the order in which events will be processed by the controls. See page 808 of the Hacker's Guide to VFP3.
