You can have the project manager hidden, and have your own form manage files in it. Have a search grid with the files, filter them and group them any way you like.

I've just tried this in the command window (with an open project):
op=_vfp.Projects(1)
op.Visible=.f.
of=op.Files("some.PRG")
of.Modify
and it not only opened the file for editing, it echoed the "modify command" in the command window. So I figure when you write DGProjectManager form, you put it in downloads here, OK? :)
