From my own perspective.. this case illustrates how high is sometimes the walls constructed by our "self-ego" or passions.. and, how easy is to take another road, in the case of accident..
I do believe.. Mainly become homo, it is a decision.. Decision, for something co-related with pleasure, love, etc..
But, to shake the flag for homo causes, usually produces more than those sensations.. sometimes it is the disconnection with close family/friends.. On the case of this publisher, maybe war.. war against prejudice, moral, etc. with all society..
IOW, her dreams was all about pleasure, love, pleasure, love.. The reality found is about pleasure, war, prejudice, etc..
