And how do you fight cancer? You kill every cancer cell.

Good analogy. Traditionally you chop out the big bits then "nuke" the body with chemotherapy and radiotherapy to kill any growing or multiplying cell, as much as the rest of the body can stand. It's crude and it hasn't improved much in a long time, except that there are some slightly less toxic chemicals.

The next wave of treatment will be tailored to the specific cancer cells. Not only will the rest of the body be spared, the cure will actually harness the body's natural defences to remove the threat.

IMHO we need to focus on the *effect we want to achieve* rather than fixating on only one way to get there.

Great chat, but it's 10:51 tomorrow morning here and I've got lots to do...
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
