treason is death. So he'll get 3 years in a country club, where he has plenty of time to write his next book. Then, in a little over a year, (at the end of 2008) GWB gives him a pardon.
As little as I think of this administration, I would be shocked if Bush pardoned Libby. As you say, they got off pretty easy as it is -- just one relatively lower level guy who will go to jail for a short time. (Two years is the guess I read; sentencing is in June).
