The idea is that if I use local views for an application with VFP database, then I change them to remote views, when converting to SQL Server. If I decide not to use remote views when moving to SQL Server, I might as well not use local views with the VFP database and use a pseudo-SPT for VFP database.
So far, based on your answers (and other considerations), I am leaning away from local and remote views towards the SPT approach.
