I have a little hope, we'll make it to 2008. According to the news up here (and why should i doubt that??), the whitehouse slowly realises it needs Iran and syria to manage the violence in Iraq, as violence alone won't solve the problem.

Though, they could have realised that long, long before they started the war on iraq, I'd say better late than never. I hope that in the 2008 elections, the citizens will use their votes to disapprove the course the US have been taking the last 8 years. And by that I mean, that I don't care whether it is going to be a republican or democrat as long as they will not form an administration that is totally arrogant and ignorant in these issues and start approaching these kind of international questions much more intelligently.
