Figures in that range have actually been documented in the most congested places like the Bay Area, L.A., Chicago, Houston, and Boston. And it's expected to get worse.

My friend out in wine country says 101 outbound is so bad she won't even attempt it during rush "hour", especially on Fridays. If she has to be in "the City" (the only way she refers to SF, as though there are no others) she has dinner or something to wait the worst of it out.

My commute is 1:15 - 1:30 each way but at least that's 33 miles.
