So I removed all the tables from the DBC and then removed the DBC from the project itself. Next step I took was to create a brand new DBC and add the tables to it.. Once I added the tables I created the same view and ran it.. "BINGO" it worked.!!!!! I guess maybe the problem had to do with the DBC itself and how it was added to the project file..

Glad you solved it, I was fairly mystified. I like the programmatical approach since you have much more control that way. In fact, I'm using aliases and macro strings in views to gain flexibilty. It's a little more work to code, but I prefer the control it offers.
