Depends on how you want to grab the data. We use a product called WinWedge which captures data coming in from the Serial port and sends in to our application via the keyboard buffer. Basically the user has a scale connected to the computer with WinWedge and our Foxpro application running. When the user places something on the scale and presses the scale's print button, the data is transferred via the serial port. The WinWedge app captures the data and sends it to our application via the keyboard buffer, as though the user typed the data in manually. The only drawback to this scenario is the user must have the form open and the cursor on the appropriate text box to capture the data. I've provided the link below.
