I've updated my original reply a second ago. Sorry for stirring you in the wrong direction.

>I tried using the BLANK command but I still end up with zeros from the copy. Set nulldisplay doesn't seem to help either.

>>>I'm finishing a project that has "converted" fp 2.5 for DOS to VFP 9. One of the programs opens a table and copies it to a text file (type SDF). In 2.5 blank numerics were created with the replace command and copied to the text file as blanks. In VFP the numerics are, well numeric with a zero value which is then copied to the file. They want to see blanks again. I could open the text file and stuff the values but have been looking for a way to get VFP to either leave the blank numerics empty and/or copy them as blanks.

>>Use BLANK command
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
