Craig I didn't said it was to happen now or this year, 16 bit compatibility code was removed from the OS only with vista, What I mean is for Microsoft .NET is the evolution of COM+ as COM was the evolution of COM, you will not see a COM++ or whatever coming in any new OS release instead you will see new versions of the .net framework until 1 day where COM+ is removed from the OS.
>Eventually, but that is years and several versions away. You should be looking at WCF now instead of COM+. FYI, up until last fall, when .Net 3.0 was released, COM+ was still considered a best practice for remote objects running in .net.
