Hi Dave.
>In my opinion, Microsoft should either sell VFP to another company willing to continue the product line, or make the entire VFP source code publicly available to the development community. In other words, give it to the community as a complete open source system, and allow the development community to decide the future of this product (including its core and add-ons).
As Alan Griver mentions on his blog, this won't happen because there's too much intellectual property in VFP that's been ported to other products. Also, what good would this do us as a community? How many VFP developers are fluent in C++, the language VFP is written in?
