This is bullsh*t.

When I renew my Premium membership (any day now, waiting for a lucrative pay raise) I will gladly pay the HST if it keeps my Canadian brethren online.

>Following the closure of the Level Extreme appeal case against the Canadian Government, which can be found at http://www.levelextreme.com/ViewNews.aspx?Session=6B5353427450314D7464343D204E4C63673742466D54554464324F68566658326E46513D3D, Level Extreme will let its international customers decide if they wish to remove the international taxation or not from the Universal Thread.

>One paragraph of the news states:
>
>"The ruling is crystal clear on the reason why the non residents have to pay this Canadian tax. As long as Canadian residents will access the site, the non residents will have to pay this Canadian tax as well. The only way to avoid the international taxation on its customers, Level Extreme would have to ban its Canadian members from accessing the product combining with the request of another ruling which would state that the product would then be zero rated for the non residents. Thus, Level Extreme has decided to let its international customers to comment on this issue as to know if they would like to ban the Canadian members in favor of the removal of that tax or if they would like the product to remain as is, thus being taxed with this insulting Canadian tax."
>
>So, we invite our international customers to comment here to decide on the following two possibilities:
>
>1. Provide feedback on the potential ability to ban Canadian customers from the Universal Thread making it zero rated tax supply for its non residents
>
>2. Provide feedback to keep everything as is and accept the international taxation
