>That was not the question.
>And you are not the school master. ;-)

Ironically, my surname indicates I am a school master :) If I would be one, the kids would call me Meester Meester. Kidding aside, I did ask a question and did not get a straight answer but one that is full of assumptions.

>Again what do have liberalism and underage sex have to do with eachother?
>Why do you keep directing such questions at me?

I did see you making this statement (however to be honest you refferred to someone else making te statement, but I did not catch who) so I jumped on it.

>1) I have described a social change that I perceive as undesirable.

Societies change, no matter of the political flavour in power. Whether it is conservative or liberal or any other flavour. I agree there are aspects of conservatism that I agree with. However, esspecially when I compare our liberal society with the more conservative american one, I can see where a more liberal approach would be actual a step forward. For example:

1. Legalisation of gay marriage
2. Legalisation of abortion
3. Legalisation of euthnesia (under strict rules)
4. Legalisation of soft drugs
5. Better sexual education

Each of those items have had positive effect on our society:
1. The acceptance of gays in general
2. Avoiding young kids to be pregnant against their will
3. Avoiding unneccesary suffering in terminal ill patients
4. Reducing the crime involved in drugs use, regulation, monitoring and reducing drugs usage. E.g. we have a very low drug addict rate.
5. We have a low teen-age pregnancy rate and a low abortion rate.

A more conservative approach could be usefull to:
- Have better gun control laws
- Have a greener environment.

Now of course, it also can have negative effects. Each of those point above really began like an experiment, and experiments can fail. For example our liberal asylum policy failed miserably and we ignored that for over 20 years. We also have some other concerns like teenagers having sex at younger age, teenagers and young adults drinking too much. This is the price to pay for progress.

>2) We have been told that social changes and developments are the realm of the thinking liberal while the role of the conservative is to oppose change.

Generally I agree, however conservatism is not free from change and developments either. In fact the currently US administration just stimulates liberalism, esspecially in the corporate world.

>3) If you disagree, direct your question to the person who made this statement. I did not say it and I have no intention of defending it.

I did not see who did it, so this was the appropriate place to do it. You're free to respond or not.
