I curious, who told VFP developers that you have to have MS SQL server to develop applications in .NET ? I frequently see post from VFP developers stating that the small clients cant afford or support MS SQL Server. You do not need a MS SQL server to develop .net. In fact in most small projects you can use your Foxpro database or any other ODBC compliant DB. Or Jet aka acccess, MSDE , SQL Express, Mysql (read free db).
