MS made this decision well back before the sedan announcement. I’d be surprised if the decision hadn’t been made during VFP 9 development. They didn’t make it public because it would have killed VFP 9 sales. I tried getting the truth out of Ken Levy back then (threed 1019157) but it was clear that he could not say. If he had answer that the decision to discontinue VFP had not been made someone would have been liable. He did a mexican hat dance all the way around the true but never actualy steped on it.
