I have a small textbox that contains a character string on a form for entry of the desired clients name. After entering a name and pressing the textbox excecutes a SELECT to populate a pop-up list box to select the specific client from the matches obtained.

All works great except that the entry of a new name into the textbox does not change the character string - and the same list is produced. If I change the value of the variable string in the command box - then all works well. What gives?
