Hi All
Just to give a bit of feedback fwiw:
I just installed a copy of Windows Vista Business edition under VMWare. All went fast and smooth.
I then installed our primary product, a VFP9 application which uses various third party tools like Dynazip for instance. Besides having to run the main app the first time as Administrator, which I suspect was for the purpose of registering the various ocx's, everything ran perfectly.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the app looks good. Its not Office 2007 of course but its also not like some ancient app either. We do use a decent commercial icon suite and I find the whole appearence very acceptable. I'm sure someone will come up with a Office 2007 style ribbon control in due course. I know that one was mentioned here on the UT not so long ago. I do find the window borders of all the apps, not just ours, a bit too thick but I cannot see a place to set them smaller. They are set to "1" under the screen personalization dialog.
All in all I think that so far VFP9 works and looks fine under Vista, at least for us.
fwiw ...
