Hi, Plinio.
>Then we could have a good supported VFP, Microsoft should give source code to people who can mantain it, boys like Craig Boyd, Martin Salias,Sergey V. Berezniker, Portalfox Team, Foxite Team, Doug Hennig, and Hundreds of them. They could make a good job and we could keep makings good sales to M$.
Just a personal comment, as you mentioned me:
- Many of the people in the list you mention are actually working on VFP extensions over the Open Sourced parts
- I would never touch the code of the VFP core, and
my guess is that most of these persons won't either, even if we could.
- It has been clearly explained that the core will never be released, but
- The VFP core is a very stable piece of software for most uses
I guess we need to move on. Keep developing in VFP if it suits your needs, integrate it with other tools, or move to a platform that you consider best for you. If you really want more features in VFP, tell the community about and see if a new extension project begins. This is why Open Source communities work.
Regards,
