While it is still a work in progress, WPF/e is very promising in the sense of been a real alternative to WinForms, running in-browser with real smooth deployment.

It is still lacking most standard controls like text/checkboxes and the like (you can of course build them), but this is coming, of course.

The nicer thing for me is the programming model, which is basically WPF on the declarative side and JavaScript (now) and .NET programming (coming) on the imperative side. Also, it integrates pretty well in and out standard HTML pages, so you can mix both models as you need.
