I don't have 2.6 on this machine but I could have sworn that SET DEFA was for drive and directory, ie, SET DEFA TO C:\myfolder
>Thanks. As I said, I'm in 2.6, I thought that command was in dBASE. Set defa is OK, but it always goes to the root. Hence, as I always do, I wanted to change to the main prog's dir.

>>>I'm forced into trying to trace a bug in a suite of progs written by a mole (in that the code resembles a mole city warren). I tried to do a "CD" and I got "unknown command" weeoe. Looking in Help I see that indeed it's not there. Now I coulda sworn CD was in dBASE III+ for Godssakes! STrikes me a lang where tyou can't specify the dir you're working in is deficient (esp dir-sensitive FP commands!). Am I losing it?
