My plans are to continue developing using the "Fox". What's hard for me to believe, is the response to YAG's announcement. Many of us have known for years that sooner or later M$ was going to kill the "Fox". This has not affected our decision to continue using it in the past. Why should it affect us now.
I still have clients using software I developed 20 years ago that refuse to upgrade. It's still working under XP Pro so they have no incentive to change.
If, in the future, I feel the need to switch, I will be searching the world of "open source" for my new language.
I would much rather be dependent on people like Linus Torvalds than a corporation such as M$.
>So, we've chewed over the announcement pretty good.
>What about our future?
>Do we continue as if nothing happened or is there additional action that we can take?
>Will this community become the VB-UT in 5 or 6 years?
>The people of the UT are a superior group, so I'm thinking some kind of plan that helps keep us together is in order.
>What are your thoughts?

>And, if you missed it, Michele took a solid hit on the tax issue on the UT about the same time the VFP announcement was made. He needs our support.
