If you can't open the view with USE in a command window, something's missing. With ODBC and remote views, you have two basic choices:
- include connection information as part of the Remote View definition, stored in the .DBC
- create your connection on-the-fly
Assuming the former, you might want to check that your connection string is complete. One good resource is
