>Now the world faces new trends, and I believe that the industry of the system development always is going to be alert, to use .net or JAVA goes beyond, to use JAVA it will allow us independence of the SO, one wide digest to be able to be in the majority of telephones celular, at the time also we will pass for the internet, To use JAVA it implies being liberated of the monopoly, implies demonstrating that the foxeros we are not professional habitually but for that really we know what we do.
>VFP lasted many years and gave all to of eating, then the deside is of you, if they prefer a .net that from a version to other one is so complicated to migrate that they would prefer doing a new system, or changing to a new line that allows us scalability low cost.
>Our preliminary analysis leads them to raising with our developers and executives the use of JAVA+SQLServer2005 +: LINUX-Windows-OS2-MAC +: Oracle-MySQL-DB2.

>Best Regards.

We all have the resources that MS offers: Licenses, Support, etc. from Dev tools to Databases to OS. I just can't see the need for us - at least for now - to go to other technologies java for instance, especially that Philippines is a Microsoft country. To me, the idea of 'INDEPENDENCE' is in a way PRIDE on our part. It's obvious that you need to have hardcore tech guy to have Linux installed and run in your networks. Our company is a software development company, so instead of focusing on the maintenance of the OS which is counter productive, we might as well focus on the development of our softwares so we could deliver them on time with minimal glitches if not zero.
