It is dog-slow for me too. Even worst, as Nicholas mentioned, it tends to start eating CPU and memory, specially when running complex ajax applications like GMail, where neither IE6 or Firefox has any problem. Other weird things encouraging me to avoid it were related to embedded video. Sometimes rendering start to miserably fail after playing video in tabs, positioning toolbars as if it was in full screen mode, etc.

I settled to Firefox 2 (which I'm using right now) with the IE Tabs plugin to handle *.microsoft.* and other non-Firefox friendly pages. I really love it.
