Well we have beaten the M$ many times but what HP is trying to do is something I can't resist (even to post it here on VFP forum - my 99% internet busstop).
We have an HP Laserjet 4 purchased about 2 years ago. A few days ago it started to show up "50 SERVICE" error. So went to service and now I have a fax stating repair would cost 551 $ + VAT (what) !!!! A new HP 6P is about the same price !!! Think your 2 years old car needs a piece replacement for the price of a new car !!
I think this is where hardware and software mainly differ for me.
