That sounds pretty much like what my navigation control does. The control is added to the host form, the host form. The navigation control deals with navigating (obviously) and also printing the form, creating a duplicate copy, bringing up an appropriately configured selection form, deleting a row, canceling edits...

By using this custom control, it takes about 6 lines of code to get it configured and I have all the functionality to a new form.
