That isn't the point though. The point is that a security fix may be needed and it may disable some things that keep VFP apps from running. (Kinda like one of the Win2000 Server patches a while back that gave us trouble with remote object instantiation). If something like that happens, then admins probably wouldn't be happy for large IT departments to find a work around for a security fix (security fixes tend to have the side effect that they don't have work arounds < s >).
