Maybe. On the other hand, just because the language is similar, doesn't mean that the technology they drive is similar. For instance, C++ and Flash ActionScript has a certain syntax similarity, but that doesn't mean that the environments are similar. And that kind of comparison probably isn't too far from comparing a Java app with a WPF/C# app...
